Based proudly in Austin, Texas, the studio was born from deep European roots and nearly 20 years of hands-on experience. Originally founded in Estonia, the brand built its reputation on high-performance Ducati builds delivered to riders in over 30 countries. Today, with studios in both Tallinn and Austin, KikasDesign gives U.S. and international clients the same uncompromising craftsmanship; no borders as barriers!

There comes a certain point in a builder’s evolution where you could actually see the leap, the moment they stepped out of their own shadow and produced something unmistakably next level. For Kully Millage, better known in the custom world as Kully Co., that moment arrived in the form of a ground up streetfighter built around the big, brawny 1,200 cc V twin from a Buell Cyclone. He called it the KC-1200, and it was the kind of machine that made you wonder if the word custom was even big enough to contain it.

“The new project was completely different from the last one. It was leaps and bounds ahead in many ways,” Kully said. “Most importantly, rideability. I wanted a bike that could be ridden every day. The KC-1200 was phenomenal to ride. It had great geometry, handling, brakes, and plenty of power!” Proud as punch and when you built something like this, modesty is not really required. What mattered was the experience on the road, and by all reports, this thing absolutely rips.

It is the physical embodiment of 30 years of evolution, experimentation, and that stubborn Japanese perfectionism that refuses to settle for “good enough.” Built for a client from Gunma Prefecture, this Kawasaki Z1-R represents the latest iteration in Sanctuary’s long-running RCM (Real Complete Machine) program, and it’s nothing short of sensational.

At first glance, it’s unmistakably a Z1-R, but one that has been sharpened, tightened, and tuned in every conceivable way. The all-new upper cowl mount, crafted from machined duralumin, is a feat of modern engineering. It allows millimetre-precise adjustment in every direction: fore, aft, up, down, tilt, and even light axis. Nakamura-san, the obsessive genius behind Sanctuary, jokes that the bracket kit might be overkill, but that’s exactly why it works. The cowl itself sits close to the steering head, avoiding that “turtle neck” look some frame-mounted setups suffer from, yet maintains full lock-to-lock steering. It’s functional beauty, executed with surgical precision.

When it comes to the modern Bobber, Triumph set the bar high. But somehow, FCR Original has managed to clear it, and then some. The French atelier’s latest creation is more than a custom build; it’s an effort to improve the original product in every single way, while enriching the classic elements that have made the new Bobber such a hit. A stripped-back, perfectly balanced machine designed not for posing, but for the true joy of solo riding. This is British engineering, reimagined through a French lens of restraint, precision, and soul.
